The Origins of Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day has been observed since the end of the First World War to remember armed forces members who have died in the line of duty. We at ASASonline feel it is extremely important to remember all the brave soldiers that lost their lives fighting in a war that fought for freedom. The freedom that we now are able to enjoy today.

Poppies are what the soldiers along the western front saw each day. Poppies were still able to grow in the soil which was shelled and constantly disturbed, this resilience is something that represents the valiant soldiers that fought so bravely.

Poppies come in different colours, the white variation represents peace. While purple is poppies are for animal violence. Poppies are sold worldwide, so we remember WW1 and every conflict after.
